Climate Action Plan
Schools have a vital role to play in responding to climate change and preparing young people for a sustainable future. In line with UK Government guidance for education settings, our Climate Action Plan sets out how we will reduce our environmental impact, improve energy efficiency, and embed sustainability into school life.
The Department for Education encourages all schools to take action towards climate resilience and achieving net zero, recognising that schools can lead by example within their communities. Our plan supports this national ambition by outlining practical steps we are taking to reduce carbon emissions, manage resources responsibly, and adapt our buildings and practices to a changing climate.
Alongside environmental benefits, our Climate Action Plan enhances learning opportunities for pupils, helping them develop the knowledge, skills, and values needed to thrive in a low-carbon world. It reflects our commitment to responsible stewardship, long-term planning, and the wellbeing of current and future generations.
